Responsibilities
The University of South Dakota – Sioux Falls is seeking an Accounting Assistant. This position is responsible for performing a range of transactional accounting duties while ensuring accuracy, consistency, and timely processing. The role focuses on accounts payable and receivable, purchasing, student accounts, and customer service. As the first point of contact for the Business Office, the assistant assists students, staff, and faculty with tuition payments, car reservations, postage and deliveries, and issuing .
Preferred Qualifications- Experience with accounts payable and accounts receivable
- Experience purchasing supplies or equipment
- Ability to work independently with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail
- Experience with office equipment and software including Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and competing priorities
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to develop and maintain effective working relationships with students, staff, and faculty
This position offers state health insurance and benefits, which includes a retirement plan with 6% matching, 10 hours of annual leave each month, 9.34 hours of sick leave each month, and 11 paid holidays. Must be authorized to work in the U.S. Sponsorship is not available for this position.
