The Opportunity

As Tax Manager, you'll serve as both a technical leader and trusted advisor while helping oversee client engagements and develop the next generation of tax professionals.

You’ll work directly with business owners, executives, investors, family-owned companies, and individual clients to provide strategic tax planning, compliance oversight, and proactive consulting services.

Key Responsibilities Client Advisory & Tax Strategy
  • Lead complex tax planning and compliance engagements for individuals, partnerships, corporations, trusts, and closely held businesses
  • Develop proactive tax strategies that create meaningful value for clients
  • Research and resolve complex federal, state, and local tax issues
  • Keep clients informed regarding tax law changes and planning opportunities
  • Serve as a trusted advisor on tax, financial, and business matters
Leadership & Team Development
  • Mentor, coach, and develop tax professionals across the practice
  • Review technical work to ensure quality, accuracy, and compliance
  • Assist with training and professional development initiatives
  • Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement
Client Relationships & Practice Growth
  • Build and maintain strong, long-term client relationships
  • Meet regularly with clients to understand business objectives and challenges
  • Identify opportunities to expand advisory services and provide additional value
  • Support business development and networking initiatives
  • Contribute to the continued growth and success of the firm
Qualifications
  • Active CPA license required
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
  • Master's degree in Taxation or Accounting preferred
  • 7–10+ years of progressive public accounting experience
  • Prior supervisory or management experience preferred
  • Strong technical tax knowledge and tax research capabilities
  • Demonstrated experience preparing and reviewing complex tax returns
  • Proven leadership and staff development experience
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
  • Commitment to professional excellence and client service
