Experienced Accountant

G.A. Johnson Construction, a well established Construction Management and Design Build company, is seeking an experienced accountant. Successful candidate must have five years history of successful performance in a similar position. This position is located in Harrisburg, SD. We are a professional building service company providing Design/Build, Construction Management, and General Contracting around South Dakota and the upper Midwest. Full time M-F:

Duties & Responsibilities:

• Accounts Payable
• Account Receivable
• Payroll
• Monthly Financial Statements
• Assist in year end annual audits

Requirements:

• Experience in accounting, financial reporting, payroll processing, and benefit administration
• Solid understanding of accounting principles and applications
• Experience and knowledge of payroll principles and applications, tax reporting requirements
• Ability to organize and communicate effectively (both verbal and written)

Preferred Qualifications:

• Five(5) or more years of accounting, financial reporting, payroll processing, and benefit administration
• Experience with Sage accounting software a plus
• Working experience with MS Office, Excel, Word
• Excellent written or oral skills
