Summary
Join a well‑respected team responsible for enforcing Federal Criminal and Civil laws. The role provides administrative and technical assistance as an Administrative Services Assistant.
Responsibilities- Information receptionist for the headquarters office.
- Receive telephone calls and visitors to the office.
- Serve as timekeeper, processing time and attendance for employees.
- Serve as central point of contact/subject expert for all travel matters.
- Purchase card holder; make credit card purchases within delegated monetary authorization and guidelines.
- Maintain adequate levels of office supplies.
- Review invoices for supplies received and assure all items billed have been received.
- Perform data entry within a financial management system.
- Receive, retrieve, and distribute mail daily.
- Responsible for receipt and recording of all funds received.
- Serve as assistant property custodian.
- You must be a U.S. Citizen or National.
- Initial appointment conditioned upon a satisfactory pre‑employment adjudication which includes fingerprint, credit and tax checks, and drug testing. Continued employment is subject to a favorable adjudication of a background investigation.
- You must be registered for Selective Service, if applicable.
- Selected candidates may be required to complete a one‑year probationary period.
- You must meet all qualification requirements upon the closing date of this announcement.
GS‑07: To be eligible at the GS‑7 level, you must have at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS‑6 level. Specialized experience includes performing a wide range of routine administrative and technical support duties for an office such as:
- Reviewing invoices and/or reconciling items.
- Inputting data into databases or spreadsheets.
- Receiving telephone calls and/or greeting visitors in an office environment.
- Providing a variety of clerical and/or administrative functions such as producing written documents utilizing office automation software.
- Providing assistance in the areas of accounting/budgeting transactions.
You must type at least 40 words per minute based on a 5 minute sample with three or fewer errors. A typing test may later be required.
