Training
This role requires in‑role training at an operating site for up to 10 weeks. Training will be located 50+ miles from the home site, and all travel accommodations will be booked and paid for by Amazon. The role also requires flexibility to work 10‑hour overnight shifts (late afternoon to early morning) on a front‑half (Sunday–Wednesday) or back‑half (Wednesday–Saturday) schedule. Shifts may be assigned upon start and can change based on business needs.

As an Area Manager, you will lead a team of hourly employees, engage and motivate them during shifts, and maintain the highest levels of safety, quality, attendance, and performance. You’ll also help ensure customer orders are delivered on time and to the right location.
Key Responsibilities- Support, mentor, and motivate your team.
- Manage safety, quality, productivity, and customer delivery promises.
- Collaborate with support teams (Safety, Ops Integration, Loss Prevention, Human Resources) to develop plans that meet business objectives.
- Lift up to 49 pounds and perform physical tasks such as standing, walking, pushing, pulling, squatting, bending, reaching, and climbing stairs.
- Work in varied environments, including outdoor loading areas, refrigerated grocery locations, and other weather‑variable settings.
- Adopt a flexible schedule that includes weekends, nights, and holidays.
- 2+ years of employee and performance management experience.
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent, or 2+ years of Amazon (blue badge/FTE) experience.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule, including weekends, nights, and holidays.
- 1+ year of experience with performance metrics, process improvement, or lean techniques.
Base salary range: USD 70,000.00 – 90,900.00 annually. Your Amazon package will include sign‑on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation is determined by experience, qualifications, and location.
