Superintendent, Construction

Henry Carlson Construction, a busy, stable and growing construction manager at risk firm is seeking a Superintendent to join its team. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, enthusiastic, can work with all types of people at various professional levels, and has a positive and professional attitude, appearance and demeanor.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

* Participate in preconstruction and project start up activities.

* Coordinate and maintain regular communication on project tasks and schedules with project manager, owner and subcontractors.

* Manage onsite employee and coordinate tasks with foreman/leads.

* Maintain a safe worksite and enforce all safety regulations. Hold weekly safety meetings. Complete daily inspections and job site safety analysis.

* Review job cost with project manager, accurately track labor, materials and equipment charges.

* Receiving incoming materials, verify and track inventory and resolve associated issues.

* Complete jobsite paperwork, timecards, daily reports and equipment tracking.

* Complete job close out process.

Preferred Qualifications

* 5+ years in Construction experience.

* Identifies and resolves problems in a timely manner, gathers and analyzes information skillfully.

* Manage difficult client/customer situations, responds promptly to customer needs, solicits customer feedback to improve service, responds to requests for service and assistance and meets commitments.

* Prioritizes and plans work activities and uses time efficiently.

* Meets productivity standards and completes work in a timely manner and will meet all deadlines.

* Adapts to changes in the work environment, manages competing demands and is able to deal with frequent change, delays or unexpected events.

* Observe safety and security procedures and uses equipment and materials properly.

* Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Possess exceptional interpersonal communication skills.

* Knowledge of MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)

* Ability to work independently on assigned tasks as well as to accept direction on given assignments.
