Pay: $95,000.00 - $ per year; compensation package – based on experience

Signature Companies is a well-established regional developer and home builder with over 20 years of experience in land development, residential construction, association development, apartment communities, and commercial projects across South Dakota and Iowa. We are currently seeking experienced Custom Residential Project Managers to join our growing team.

• Analyze blueprints, specifications, and contract requirements to prepare accurate estimates for projects.
• Utilize estimating software for bid letting, budgeting, awarding contracts, completing contracts, etc.
• Maintain each individual projects budget, change order and contingency reports to ensure every budget dollar is accurately maintained.
• Manage job site administration and coordinate field supervision.
• Report development monitoring, project revisions, progress budgets, progress schedule and its periodic revisions with senior management.
• Identify and resolve all value engineering, project revision or changes.
• Creating and maintaining a safe/secure job site environment.
• Establishing, maintaining, conducting, and policing detailed procedures for the submittal, review, coordination, approval, and distribution of shop drawings, samples, etc.
• Establishing and maintaining all project files relating to: engineering, subcontracts, bid package records, plans, specifications, changes, clarifications, and as-built documents.
• Reviewing all vendor schedules of values and preparing the general schedule of values.
• Evaluating subcontractor payment requisitions relative to actual work performed.
• Manage online data storage (builder trend).
• Other duties as assigned

Must be able to work in a professional manner and able to work well with different trades. Must be able to properly communicate over the phone and in writing to upper management to include Subcontractors, Suppliers, Onsite Staff, Owners, other PM’s, and Supervisors.

• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or Architecture REQUIRED
• 5+ years of experience in related field.
• Has a clear understanding of local planning and zoning requirements as it relates to potential projects.
• Has a comprehensive knowledge of building products, construction details, and relevant rules, regulations, and quality standards.
• Has ample knowledge about means, methods, and materials used in multi-family construction and land development to determine the most cost-effective type of construction for a project.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and estimating software.
• Excellent plan and specification reading skills.
• Well-developed organizational skills
• Honest, Dependable and Good interpersonal skills
• Good driving record, valid license - insurable through the company

• Experience in residential / multifamily construction, project management, land development and estimating.
• Experience in Sage Project Management preferred.
• Experience in AutoCAD preferred.
• Scheduling knowledge preferred.
