Estimator Project Manager

G.A. Johnson Construction is looking for a qualified Project Manager/Estimator.

$70-$120K per year.

Location:

Harrisburg, SD.

• Managing Construction Management Projects CMAR, proposals, contracts
• Estimating materials on projects for customer quotes
  • Hard Bid and Conceptual Estimating
• Providing excellent customer service
• Setting appointments with potential customers, preparing quotes on projects and selling projects to contacts
• Reviewing all shop drawings prior to approval, issuing RFIs as needed and expediting shop drawing approvals
• Efficient project scheduling
• Contract Management

• Knowledge of current building codes for design of building elements
• Previous estimating experience in the steel or metal buildings industry and/or wood building components
• Ability to contribute effectively in a team environment
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Strong organizational skills and ability to multi‑task
• Strong ability to analyze and strategically plan projects
• Strong computer skills, including knowledge of MS Word, Excel, Planswift/Blue Beam, Procore, Submittal Exchange
• Willingness and means to travel and a valid driver’s license are required

• 4‑year Construction Management or Civil Engineering degree
• 10 years Commercial Construction Estimating/Project Management of projects $1–$40 million
• OSHA 30 certification
• Relocation assistance available
