Construction Project Manager
Full‑time position based in Sioux Falls, SD.
Role OverviewThis construction management position earns a competitive salary, depending on experience. ResponsibilitiesAs the Construction Project Manager, you steer projects from start to finish. You develop budgets and estimates, create preliminary schedules, and coordinate with multiple teams and departments to secure permits, boundaries, and requirements before construction begins. Throughout all project stages you supervise engineers and crews to ensure high‑quality work, coordinate teams to meet timelines and budgets, and prepare agendas for progress meetings.
You monitor progress, address questions and misunderstandings, and continuously seek ways to improve results, ensuring projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest standards.
- Willingness to travel to market‑based project locations (occasionally)
- Able to work in all outdoor environmental conditions including heat, cold, rain, snow, wind, etc. (always)
- Able to access all areas of the jobsite including stairs, scaffolding, ladders, elevation changes, etc. (frequently)
- Capable of working in physical positions that may include kneeling, sitting, standing, squatting, bending over, etc. (always)
- Must be able to move, carry, or position items weighing up to 75 pounds. (frequently)
- Must be able to ascend and descend ladders, scaffolds, stairs, and work in confined spaces and in proximity to loud equipment. (frequently)
- Must be able to position oneself to work in confined spaces such as trenches, pits, manholes, attics, and tunnels. (occasionally)
- Must be able to move safely over uneven terrain or in confined spaces. (frequently)
- Must be able to see and respond to dangerous situations. (occasionally)
- Must be able to wear personal protective gear most of the day. (always)
- Ability to operate standard office equipment and keyboards. (always)
- Must have the ability to lift and carry parcels, packages, and other items, to walk short distances, and drive a vehicle to deliver and pick up materials. (frequently)
- While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. (always)
- 5+ years of experience in project management
- Bachelor’s degree in construction management, civil engineering, or architecture
Experience with Procore software is a plus but not required. Strong attention to detail, ability to oversee multiple teams simultaneously, clear communication, and quick problem‑solving are essential.
