Habitat for Humanity of Greater Sioux Falls

The person in this position is responsible forthe management and completion of the construction of new homes and remodeling existing homes for Habitat for Humanity of Greater Sioux Falls. This includes organizing each build project, specifying materials, hiring sub-contractors and overseeing their work, training and supervising site-supervisors, and completing houses according to the schedule.

• Develop home construction designs and budgets
• Implement andmaintainconstruction schedule from beginning to end of construction; secure all necessary permits
• Schedule and oversee the work of all sub-contractors
• Maintain at least a 3-week detailed progress schedule that is sent out weekly to Habitat team members and subcontractors
• Supervise two construction site supervisors and set weekly plans forjobsitelocations and tasks
• Arrange for hands-on supervision at each construction site
• Coordinate scheduling of volunteers and future homeowners with Habitat staff
• Implement and enforce safety procedures at each site
• Staff the work sites as appropriate
• Work onsite with site-supervisors and groups when needed to keep jobsites moving
• Coordinate the delivery of materials, tools, and other supplies to job sites
• Work with Homeowner Services Coordinator to ensure realistic expectations can be set for future homeowners and any issues that arise in the home ownership process are quickly resolved
• Assistin providing partner family education class on new home construction
• Resolve any punch list and/or warranty items that arise after construction
• Oversee the Construction Advisory Committee including preparing materials for monthly meetings and recruiting members
• Represent the affiliate in the community where and when appropriate
• Treat Habitatpartnerfamilies and volunteers with respect and dignity.
• Perform other duties as needed or requested.

This person reports to the Executive Director. This person works in a team atmosphere of mutual respect and cooperation with all staff and volunteers.
