Summary

This Regionalisresponsibleformanagingallbusinessactivitiesforthe Complete Track Worksdivisionincluding  planning, budgeting, estimating, equipment, and leadership ofcompanypersonnelwith the upmost integrity. Position will train, manage, and direct the day-to-day coordination of multiple crews of workers, equipment, and trucking to meet or exceed expectations for safety, quality, profitability, and schedule, forming long-lasting client-contractor relationships.

Working closely with the Department Management this position will develop a dynamic and profitable division that supports the business development activities to allow for growth and sustainability with track construction, maintenance, inspection services, and general third-party consulting.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities but are not limited to:

• Provide leadership,vision,employeedevelopmentandteamworkinitiativestobuildasuccessfulrailcontractingdivision.
• Plansandcarryoutschedulesandassistsintheinitiationandimplementationofappropriateproceduresassociatedwith track and structures construction, maintenance, and inspection.
• Investigatesanddiagnosestrackfailures,difficultmaintenanceproblems,andcriticalsafetyissues,andrenderscorrective action in a timely manner.
• Mustbeabletoimmediatelyrespondtosafetyconcernsastheyarise.
• Overseemanagementoftheday-to-dayconstructionandmaintenanceactivitiesthroughoutassignedregion.
• Responsibleforthecoordinationofworkdirectedinthefieldandplanspreventativemaintenanceandprojectprograms for industry and mainline track systems and equipment to ensure their safe and efficient operation.
• Monitorteamstoensurethatemployeescomplywithcompanysafetyandoperatingrules,policies, procedures,and governmental regulations.
• Evaluatestheefficiencyandeffectivenessofmaintenancecrews,includingadherencetoworkplans,performance, quality, and safety, to ensure that project objectives are achieved.
• Responsiblefordevelopingastrategicplanthatincludescompetitorandmarketassessmentsandlaborneeds.
  
  Identifies and plans for capital improvements and maintenance need to support the operation.
• Workswithappropriatestaffandvendorstooverseethemaintenanceandreplacementprogramsofrailroadequipment.
• Workwiththe Safety department,financialdepartment,and Contract Administrationon Contractorprequalificationsubmittals
• Promoteasafeworkenvironmentthroughthedevelopmentofsafetyprograms,goals,andmeasurements.
• VisitworksitescarryingadditionalPPEtoobserve crews,perform quality&safetyaudits,andensureemployeetask specific training.
• Workstodevelopandmaintainworkingrelationshipswithmajorcustomersandseekoutpotentialnewcustomers.
• Prospectforpotentialnewclientsandturnthisintoincreasedbusinessopportunities.
• Developorganizationalstructuretosupportbusinessplanlevels.
• Analyzeexpendituresandotherfinancialinformationtodevelopplansandbudgetsforincreasingprofitsandreducingcosts.
• Effectivelyutilizeperformancemanagementandinterpersonalskillstocoach,trainandprovidefeedbacktomaximize employee potential.
• Goodunderstandingoftheprojectrequirements(timeframe,budget,safety,quality,workforce,materials,and equipment requirements) necessary to complete the project within the required time frame.
• Ensurethatthejobsiteisalwayskeptinaclean,safe,secure,andorganizedmanner,directlyorthroughsupervision.
• Identifyconflictsinmaintenanceprogressandcommunicatewithtrackteamforresolution.
• Maintaindailylogs&detailed records(written)(photo) ofactivitiesonthejobsite,directlyorthroughsupervision.
• Performmaintenanceprogressandcompletionpunchlistidentificationandcompletion.
• Maintaintrackandalltrackrelateddevicestoassuresafeandefficienttrainoperations.
• Perform Managementdutieswhileonprojectlocationsandjobsitesasrequired.
