Museums Lead - Full Time Position

This full time position must be able to work a flexible schedule including days, evenings, weekends and holidays.

What you will do!
  • Implement daily staff and volunteer schedules to include start-up/shut-down routines, coverage of Cine Dome & Planetarium films, daily demonstrations, and other live programming, group visits, special programming and behind-the-scenes tasks and projects.
  • Understand basic science concepts of each exhibit, film and education program and proactively explain them to guests in an engaging, age-appropriate way.
  • Oversee Interactor and Volunteers teams, providing on the job coaching to maintain positive guest experience.
  • Monitor the condition and operation of the exhibits, Cine Dome & Planetarium, Concessions and inform appropriate personnel to correct any issues.
  • Maintain familiarity with exhibits, films, programs and amenities of the Pavilion and provide information to guests, including schedules, directions, program descriptions, etc.
  • Monitor and assist guests to maintain safety and order, assisting people who need help, helping to locate lost children or property, etc.
  • Support interactors with customer services interactions.
What you will need!
  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Experience in guest service, non-profit, education and/or museum setting preferred.
  • Energetic, team-oriented, commitment to extraordinary guest experience and self-motivated.
  • Demonstrate strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to present in an engaging, participatory manner.
