Truss Designer / Sales (Confidential) – Sioux Falls, SD Area

A growing building components manufacturer is seeking a Truss Designer / Sales professional to support design and customer-facing responsibilities related to wood roof and floor trusses, along with engineered wood products.

This is a well-rounded role ideal for someone who can balance technical design work with customer interaction, while operating in a fast-paced production environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design wood roof and floor truss systems and assist with engineered wood product layouts
• Interpret blueprints, architectural drawings, and structural plans
• Communicate directly with customers to support project needs and resolve issues
• Manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining accuracy and timelines
• Collaborate with internal teams to ensure smooth workflow from design through production

What We’re Looking For:

• Strong communication skills (verbal and written)
• Self-starter with the ability to stay organized and manage multiple priorities
• Solid problem-solving ability and attention to detail
• Customer-focused mindset with the ability to build relationships
• Experience in the truss industry or broader construction environment is a plus
• Exposure to truss design software (MiTek, Alpine, or similar) is a plus
