Overview
USD Sanford School of Medicine is seeking an Academic Assistant for the Office of Medical Education. This position supports academic programming in Pillars 2 & 3 of the medical school curriculum through schedule creation and maintenance, administration of online learning management systems, and coordination of a variety of educational activities. The position also serves as a liaison between the regional campuses, FARM program, SSOM administration, clinical faculty, and students.
Preferred Qualifications- Knowledge of modern office/clerical procedure and practices.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and competing priorities.
- Experience with office equipment and software including Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams, and Zoom along with the ability to quickly learn new technology platforms such as One
45 and D2L. - Ability to work independently with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to develop and maintain effective working relationships with students, residents, faculty, and staff.
This position offers state health insurance and benefits, which includes a retirement plan with 6% matching, 10 hours of annual leave each month, 9.34 hours of sick leave each month, and 11 paid holidays.
