- Tutor/support students in all academic areas
- Administer make-up tests
- Monitor student progress and keep records
- Complete various clerical work as assigned
- Confer with supervising teachers
- Be responsible for some supervisory duties (lunch, recess) (varies at each site)
- Various duties as assigned.
- High school education or equivalent
- Some post high training in education preferred
- Works well with children
- Comfort level with lower and upper elementary verbal & math skills
- Basic competency in computer skills
- Resourceful & creative to proved adaptations for students
- Self-starter
- High energy
- Ability to adjust to daily changes in task schedule
- Adapts well to a variety of tasks
- Strong planning and organizational skills
- Problem-solving and decision making ability
- Team player
