Requirements
Two years of post high school education or higher, or ability to pass a standardized test approved by the state of South Dakota, for designated Education Assistant positions.
Experience DesiredAt least one year of work experience in a position requiring interpersonal interaction skills and knowledge of strategies to support students with social, emotional, and behavioral needs.
Physical RequirementsRequires constant hand-eye and mind-eye coordination, hearing, frequent bending over, crouching, reaching, removing, speaking, standing, stooping, talking, threading, turning and walking. Frequent carrying, grasping, holding, lifting, opening, pulling, unfolding and unlocking are also required. Ability to exert up to 50 pounds of force occasionally.
Other RequirementsExperience with behavior management.
Essential Functions & DutiesStarting at $18.42 per hour.
Pay Day:
Last working day of each month, based on the payroll cutoff schedule.
Monday through Friday, 9:00 am to 2:00 pm with a 30 minute unpaid lunch.
0.5625 FTE, 22.5 hours per week, 9 months.
