RequirementsEducation Level: Two years of post high school education or higher, or be able to pass a standardized test approved by the state of South Dakota, for designated Education Assistant positions.
Experience Desired:
At least one year of work experience in a position requiring interpersonal interaction skills and knowledge of strategies to support students with social, emotional, and behavior needs.
Physical Requirements:
Requires constant hand-eye and mind-eye coordination, hearing, frequent bending over, crouching, reaching, removing, speaking, standing, stooping, talking, threading, turning and walking. Frequent carrying, grasping, holding, lifting, opening, pulling, unfolding and unlocking are also required. Ability to exert up to 50 pounds of force occasionally.
Other Requirements:
Experience with behavior management.
Pay Information Starting at $18.42 per hour. Pay Day:
Last working day of each month, based on the payroll cutoff schedule.
Hours & FTE Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday: 7:30 am to 3:00 pm with a 30-minute unpaid break Wednesday: 7:30 am to 4:00 pm with a 30-minute unpaid break. 0.9 FTE, 36 hours per week, 9 months.
