Position Overview
This position is for the school year at Memorial Middle School. The role supports students and fosters a positive school environment.
Requirements Education LevelTwo years of post–high school education or higher, or ability to pass a state‑approved standardized test for designated Education Assistant positions.
Experience DesiredExperience working with individuals with disabilities or experience with behavior management.
Physical RequirementsGeneral activity such as sitting, standing, walking, bending, squatting, kneeling, pushing, pulling; carrying and lifting body weight and/or objects/equipment. Must be able to handle weights from 1 to 99 pounds as specified and pass a pre‑employment physical if a new hire.
Other RequirementsDemonstrate and pass safety competency review annually.
Essential Functions & DutiesPay: Level G, starting at $18.42 per hour (plus $2 differential for RISE positions).
FTE: 0.4375 (RISE) or 0.4375 (Resource).
Schedule: Monday through Friday, 8:30 am to 4:00 pm with a 30‑minute unpaid break. 35 hours per week, 9 months.
Benefits available for positions 20 hours per week or more.
