Marching Band Musical/Visual Technician.

• Assist in preparing the band for marching band performances
• Conduct regular sectionals as needed
• Assist director at weekly full-band rehearsals as needed
• Assist director in equipment maintenance as needed
• Attend regular performances and competitions as necessary, assisting director in leading musical and visual warmups, uniform maintenance, equipment moving, etc.

  Qualifications:
  • Willingness and ability to effectively make known the Catholic Church’s teachings through the varied ministry activities expected of this position
  • Willingness and ability to act as an outstanding personal witness to the Catholic faith and religion by living both one’s professional and personal life in accordance with the doctrines and moral teachings of the Roman Catholic Church, as embodied in the various documents of the Roman Catholic Church, including, without limitation, the Catechism of the Roman Catholic Church.
• Experience in marching band preferred
• Experience in drum corps preferred
• Bachelor’s degree with SD teaching certificate preferred
• Organizational skills

• Met expectations of band director, and administration
• Communicated effectively with band director, administration, and staff
• Supported the mission of Bishop O’Gorman Catholic Schools

• Ability to work hours required
• Clarity of vision
• Ability to speak English clearly
• Ability to hear and distinguish sounds, including speech, alarms and other work environment sounds
• Fine hand motor skills to include and not limited to grasping, holding, and repetitive motion
• Ability to frequently sit, stand, and walk through work day
• Ability to lift and carry up to 30 pounds regularly
• Ability to push/pull up to 50 pounds
• Ability to intermittently bend, squat, and reach overhead
