Position: IEP Facilitator - 1.0 FTE at Susan B Anthony Elementary

Requirements

Education Level: Two years successful post high school education. District experience may be considered in lieu of education requirement.

Experience Desired: At least one year of work experience in a position requiring interpersonal interaction skills, knowledge of programming for students with disabilities.

Physical Requirements: Constant hearing, hand-eye coordination/mind-eye coordination; intermittent keyboarding and telephoning. Frequent repetitive motions with wrists, hands, and fingers.

Other Requirements: Excellent oral and written communication skills. Computer proficiency in spreadsheets, databases, and word processing. Demonstrated ability to work well with others. Demonstrated organizational skills.

Essential Functions & Duties
  • Enter and maintain banks of student objectives and information for computerized IEP databases.
  • Provide teachers with draft IEPs, based on teacher checklist.
  • Elicit parent input for IEPs or evaluations.
  • Contact parents to schedule IEP meetings and conferences.
  • Complete and mail parent notices, with teacher input and principal signature.
  • Disseminate and collect classroom teacher forms needed for Individual Education Plans (IEPs) to classroom teachers.
  • Route and disseminate quarterly and annual progress checks to be completed by teachers.
  • Maintain building database of student IEP and evaluation dates.
  • Check and update student list for December 1 count.
  • Monitor IEP and evaluation due dates, numbers of student suspensions, dates to implement transition plans and transfers of rights, and completion of all required paperwork.
  • Route and maintain all paperwork required for compliance with regulations.
  • Participate in all compliance and computerized IEP training as requested by the District.
  • Serve as a building resource in using and updating IEP software.
  • Maintain the confidentiality of students and their families.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by supervisors.
  • Pay Information

    Level KX, starting at $23.62 per hour.

    Hours & FTE

    Monday through Friday, 7:30 am to 4:00 pm with a 30-minute unpaid break. 1.0 FTE, 40 hours per week, 9 months.
