.5 Assistant Varsity Football Coach

Bishop O'Gorman Catholic Schools is looking for an Assistant Varsity Football Coach.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Promote the mission of Bishop O'Gorman Catholic Schools
• Assists in the direction and coordination of interscholastic athletics in their school
• Operates within the policies of the Metro Conferences and the SDHSAA
• Supervises dressing rooms and playing area during and following periods of team participation
• Remains with students and supervises when traveling to away games
• Maintains a staff relationship with other coaches
• Perform various duties as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS:

• BA/BS Education (preferred)
• Fundamentals of Coaching (high school only)
• Sports First Aide (high school only)
• Concussion in Sports (high school only)
• Heat Illness Prevention (fall high school only)
• Coaching and teaching experience desired
• High School/College participation (preferred)
• Hand-eye/mind-eye coordination, physical dexterity, the ability to bend, stoop, walk, talk, and sit
• The ability to travel between locations
• Willingness and ability to effectively make known the Catholic Church’s teachings through the varied ministry activities expected of this position
• Willingness and ability to act as an outstanding personal witness to the Catholic faith and religion by living both one’s professional and personal life in accordance with the doctrines and moral teachings of the Roman Catholic Church, as embodied in the various documents of the Roman Catholic Church, including, without limitation, the Catechism of the Roman Catholic Church
