We anticipate the need for one Substation Electrician to be located at the Sioux Falls Service Center, in Sioux Falls, SD. The starting wage rate for this position will be $61.31 per hour (2025 rate) according to the Collective Bargaining Agreement. This position will be posted for 10 working days from February 26, 2026 to March 11, 2026.

• Install, construct, inspect, repair and maintain all electrical substation equipment such as cap banks, high‑voltage transformers, structures, conductors, conduits, switches, power circuit breakers, regulators, generators, motors, pumps, instrumentation, metering, control and other wiring.
• Obtain and verify proper clearances and be able to switch 345 kV, 230 kV, 115 kV, and all distribution high voltages.
• Respond to callout after normal work hours and weekends as required.
• Obtain and apply knowledge of company‑related software to complete daily tasks.
• Complete required training and check‑offs on pertinent equipment.

• Must currently be a Journeyman Lineman or Substation Electrician.
• Must have experience in substation operations and maintenance.
• Must have a valid Minnesota Class “A” driver’s license.
• Must live within 20 miles of the worksite or be able to move within the next 6 months.
• Requires participation in emergency after‑hour callout.
• Demonstrates commitment to work productively and safely.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
