Electrical Engineer

Overview

Sim Ventions is a 100% employee‑owned company that designs rugged, high‑performance electronics for mission‑critical defense applications. We are seeking a highly skilled Electrical Engineer to focus on PCB layout and design with a strong emphasis on electronics design throughout the product lifecycle.

An ACTIVE Secret Clearance is required. Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and must be U.S. citizens.

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field (Master’s preferred).
• Experience in analog/digital circuit design, embedded MCU design, and compact antenna design & integration.
• Knowledge of PCB layout, schematic capture, modelling, and test methodologies.
• Ability to interpret and develop engineering solutions independently with minimal supervision.
• Strong oral and written communication skills; ability to present technical status to cross‑functional teams.
• Experience or interest in RF circuit and antenna design is a significant plus.

• Conduct research, development, testing, and integration of custom embedded systems and communications capabilities.
• Develop electrical circuits, RF receivers, and electrically‑small antenna designs.
• Perform analog/digital circuit design, embedded MCU design, and antenna integration.
• Model circuits, capture schematics, perform PCB layout, and guide fabrication techniques.
• Write and maintain code to enable electronic designs.
• Present technical status and decisions during design reviews.
• Support integration and testing of products, including electromagnetic and environmental testing.
• Collaborate with project leads to analyze requirements, evaluate alternative solutions, and identify technical risks.
• Develop prototypes with technicians and coordinate with mechanical engineers for integration.
• Document design solutions and follow configuration management processes.

The projected annual compensation range for this position is $85,000 - $105,000 (USD).
