BIM Manager / VDC Manager – Mechanical Construction

A growing mechanical contractor is seeking an experienced BIM Manager / VDC Manager to lead virtual design and construction efforts across commercial construction projects. The ideal candidate is a strategic leader with experience managing BIM and VDC workflows, overseeing coordination efforts, and supporting project teams from design through installation.

• Lead BIM and VDC operations across multiple commercial construction projects
• Manage coordination efforts between project teams, engineers, architects, and trade partners
• Oversee clash detection, constructability reviews, and model management processes
• Develop and maintain BIM standards, workflows, and best practices
• Support fabrication modeling, prefabrication, and installation planning efforts
• Mentor and develop BIM Coordinators, VDC Specialists, and modeling personnel
• Collaborate with project management and field teams to improve project execution
• Evaluate and implement emerging construction technologies and digital workflows
• Participate in coordination meetings and provide technical leadership throughout the project lifecycle

• 5–10+ years of experience in BIM, VDC, or construction technology roles
• Experience managing BIM coordination efforts on commercial mechanical, HVAC, plumbing, or MEP projects
• Strong proficiency with Revit, Navisworks, Autodesk Construction Cloud, and related BIM platforms
• Experience leading coordination meetings and managing multi-trade BIM processes
• Knowledge of fabrication modeling, prefabrication, and constructability review processes
• Experience mentoring BIM personnel and managing project workflows
• Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
• Stable work history and commitment to continuous improvement

• Salary Range: $100,000 – $140,000+ per year (based on experience)
