Composites Materials and Process Engineer

We are looking for a Composites Materials and Process Engineer to support Syensqo’s long-term technical and business growth in the Americas region, within the Aerospace and Defense market segment team. Applications Engineering is the technical excellence organization within Customer Engineering, responsible for driving growth and customer satisfaction by leading the development and adoption of new and existing technologies in the composites industry.
Responsibilities- Develop and advance new composite materials and manufacturing technologies aligned with market trends and customer needs.
- Lead cross‑functional development efforts to convert innovation opportunities into viable solutions by integrating material selection, manufacturing processes, and part design.
- Identify technology gaps and advise on future product and process development priorities.
- Serve as the primary technical interface with customers, acting as the “voice of the customer” within Syensqo’s internal teams.
- Promote Syensqo products and technologies, clearly articulating value propositions to customers.
- Advise on material and process selection for new composite application development.

- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as Engineering or Material Science discipline.
- Minimum 5 years’ demonstrated work experience in problem solving, research and development, project management, effective communication with stakeholders, relationship building, and identification of new opportunities in aerospace composite structures.
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience on reviewing composite part designs/drawings for manufacturability and specification compliance.
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience on research and development of composite materials and processing technologies including simulation.
- At least 3 years of working and understanding of the aerospace industry including OEMs, suppliers, various programs, aerospace quality systems, composite testing requirements, and statistical process control and capability.

- 16 or more weeks of maternity/paternity and co‑parenting leave, according to local regulations.
