Field Service Engineer

Location: Sioux Falls, SD (must reside in the greater Sioux Falls area; no relocation assistance) |
Schedule: Full-time, on-site with overnight travel required |
Compensation: $65,000 - $85,000 base salary depending on experience, plus overtime and performance bonus potential of an additional $4,000 - $8,000 annually

A manufacturer of medical laboratory analyzers is seeking a Field Service Engineer to support automated robotic lab instrumentation—such as hematology, chemistry, and coagulation analyzers for customers in the greater Sioux Falls, SD area. This role is key to ensuring reliable operation of critical lab equipment through hands-on installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting expertise. Please note this position is not eligible for sponsorship or work authorization support.

• Install, service, and perform preventive maintenance on medical laboratory instrumentation
• Build and maintain strong customer relationships
• Coordinate problem resolution within the Field Support Group
• Maintain vehicle inventory, including tools and trunk stock (parts)
• Provide basic on-site training on the operation of company instrumentation

• Certificate or AAS Degree in electronics or a related discipline
• Strong background in electronics and electro-mechanical troubleshooting
• Minimum of 3 years experience as a field service engineer
• Willingness and ability to travel overnight as required
• Must reside within the greater Sioux Falls, SD area (no relocation assistance provided)
• Must be fully vaccinated against COVID-19
• Not eligible for sponsorship; candidates must already have work authorization in the United States

• Current or recent Field Service experience in the Medical Device industry preferred
• Experience servicing medical lab analyzers or other medical instrumentation would be a plus

• Base salary of $65,000 - $85,000 depending on experience
