Position Purpose
The Treasury Management Officer is responsible for developing and managing treasury relationships with ag and commercial clients while driving growth of deposits, fee income, and product adoption. This role works closely with ag and commercial bankers, retail leaders, and operations to evaluate client needs, recommend solutions, onboard services, and promote fraud mitigation tools. The TMO serves as a trusted advisor to clients and supports the bank’s strategy to grow core deposit funding, increase non interest income and deepen relationships.
Qualitiesof a successful candidate
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, or related field preferred.
- 5+ years banking or treasury experience preferred.
- Strong knowledge of treasury products and business banking services.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and relationship-building skills.
- Ability to manage complex client needs and follow through on implementation.
- Strong commercial mindset and consultative sales approach.
- Develop new treasury management relationships by expanding services within the existing customer base.
- Conduct prospecting and calling efforts to generate qualified opportunities.
- Partner with business banking team and market leadership to identify TM opportunities, in addition to completing annual relationship reviews.
- Prepare proposals, pricing, and solutions tailored to client needs.
- Meet goals related to deposit growth, fee revenue, and TM product adoption.
- Act as the primary treasury contact for banking clients.
- Conduct discovery with business owners to understand working capital and payment needs.
- Provide training, onboarding, and ongoing support for treasury services.
- Perform periodic account reviews and identify opportunities for expansion.
- Monitor customer usage, satisfaction, and retention.
- Maintain expert knowledge of treasury services including ACH, RDC, wires, merchant, credit card and fraud tools.
- Partner with implementation teams to onboard new clients.
- Manage setup timelines, client expectations, and follow-up.
- Ensure accurate execution of documentation and agreements.
- Evaluate clients for payment and operational risk, including ACH origination and RDC.
- Follow bank policies and regulatory requirements related to treasury onboarding.
- Promote fraud prevention tools such as Positive Pay and dual control.
- Educate clients on fraud trends and best practices.
- Provide training and support to business banking team, retail teams, and internal partners.
- Support TM product development and process improvements.
- Participate in pipeline meetings, sales planning, and calling efforts.
- May perform additional duties as needed.

Compensation for positions is based on the specific position and may be paid in the form of an hourly wage, a semi-monthly salary, commissions, or a combination of them. Depending on the specific position, some may be paid solely on commissions or others may include a bonus structure.
