Job Description
Provide PREMIER customer service and assist the Branch with sales to all bank customers, manage a cash drawer and balance it daily according to teller performance standards, identify financial solutions, originate deposit and small loan accounts, and support all areas of the Branch while adhering to teller and lending processing standards.
Responsibilities- Execute PREMIER customer service by greeting all customers promptly, processing transactions accurately and efficiently, maintaining confidentiality, and understanding the features and benefits of First PREMIER Bank’s products and services.
- Manage a cash drawer and balance it daily according to teller performance standards; process deposits, withdrawals, cashed checks, savings bonds and receipt of loan, credit card, and credit line payments.
- Follow mandatory procedures to ensure work meets required quality standards and complies with external regulatory and internal codes of conduct.
- Assist customers with all queries and process account opening and closing requests.
- Perform consumer and commercial loan processing tasks, including preparing and sending completed loan files to Loan Servicing.
- Maintain a thorough understanding of the deposit and loan account platforms and related application systems.
- Meet established annual goals for checking and loan products, keeping personal and branch objectives in mind.
- Assist and support any call program activities and participate in community events to create brand awareness.
- Express ideas clearly, request action, and formulate plans through effective verbal communication to meet customer and organizational needs.
- Use standard office equipment and software packages to support business processes.
- Identify sales opportunities during service interactions to enhance customer service.
- Conduct oneself in a manner that promotes trust and professionalism.
- Cooperate with co‑workers to promote an effective work unit.
- Manage time effectively to ensure prompt completion of tasks.
- Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
- High school diploma or equivalent (required).
- Minimum of 1 year of cash handling, customer service, and/or banking experience (required).
- Basic computer skills and sales experience (preferred).
