Chief Financial Officer (CFO)
Sioux Falls, SD Area | Executive Leadership | Full-Time
A well-established and growing organization within the food service and hospitality industry is seeking an experienced Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to join its executive leadership team.
This is a hands-on leadership role for a proven CFO who can oversee financial strategy and operations while serving as a key advisor on contracts, negotiations, business decisions, and future growth.
Key Responsibilities- Lead the organization's finance and accounting functions
- Partner with ownership and senior leadership on financial strategy, budgeting, forecasting, and long-term planning
- Oversee financial reporting, cash flow, internal controls, risk management, and overall financial performance
- Lead the review, evaluation, and negotiation of contracts and business agreements
- Analyze contract terms, pricing structures, financial commitments, and potential risks
- Participate directly in negotiations and provide strategic recommendations to leadership
- Evaluate growth opportunities, investments, and business initiatives
- Monitor performance and identify opportunities to improve profitability and operational efficiency
- Maintain relationships with banking, insurance, legal, accounting, and other external partners
- Lead, mentor, and develop accounting and finance team members
- Collaborate with operational leaders to ensure financial strategy supports the business
- Prior CFO experience required
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or related field
- CPA license preferred
- Strong experience with contract review and negotiations
- Previous experience in food service, hospitality, or a related industry strongly preferred
- Strong background in financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, cash management, and internal controls
- Proven ability to analyze complex financial and contractual matters
- Strong negotiation, communication, and executive presentation skills
- Ability to partner effectively with ownership, leadership, operations, and outside business partners
- Strategic mindset with a willingness to remain hands-on when needed
