Job Description
The Orthopedic Institute in Sioux Falls, SD is currently seeking a detail-oriented and organized individual to fill the position of Medical Records Representative. The Medical Records Representative will be responsible for maintaining and organizing all patient medical records in accordance with established procedures and guidelines.
Key Responsibilities:- Respond to requests for medical records from patients, healthcare providers, and other authorized individuals.
- Coordinate the transfer of medical records to other healthcare facilities as needed.
- Assist healthcare providers and staff with accessing and retrieving patient medical records in a timely manner.
- High school diploma or equivalent required; associate or bachelor's degree in healthcare administration or related field preferred.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience working in a medical records department.
- Proficiency in electronic medical records systems and Microsoft Office applications.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive medical information.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
