* Collect, validate, analyze, and interpret institutional data related to enrollment, retention, completion, and student outcomes.
* Prepare and distribute routine and ad hoc reports, dashboards, and briefings for administration and the Board.
* Support institutional reporting to state, federal, and accrediting agencies, including IPEDS and the South Dakota Board of Technical Education.
* Provide analytical support for strategic planning, enrollment forecasting, program review, and space planning.
* Conduct cohort analyses, trend analyses, and scenario modeling to support institutional decision-making.
* Assist with accreditation documentation, assessment reporting, and institutional effectiveness initiatives.
* Maintain data definitions, documentation, and reporting standards to ensure consistency and accuracy.
* Collaborate with campus departments to improve data quality and reporting processes.
* Present data clearly and effectively to technical and non-technical audiences.
* Contribute to the overall success of the College by performing other duties as assigned.
* Education:
Bachelor's degree in related field, or equivalent education and professional experience
* Experience:
Three years of professional experience in institutional research or data analysis.
* Experience with data analysis and reporting tools such as Excel, SQL, Power BI/Tableau, SPSS, or R.
* Knowledge of higher education data metrics and reporting practices.
* Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
* Other requirements:
* Ability to analyze complex data and present findings accurately and clearly.
* Strong attention to detail and commitment to data integrity and confidentiality.
* Ability to collaborate effectively with diverse campus stakeholders.
* Strong time management and organizational skills.
* Commitment to evidence-based decision-making and continuous improvement.
General office environment with standard office equipment available. Lighting and temperature are adequate. Moderate noise levels typical of an office environment due to conversations and office equipment. Occasionally exposed to outdoor weather conditions when traveling to other locations. Job is sedentary with physical activities normally required in an office environment.
