IT Manager

The IT Manager is a leadership role responsible for oversight of the front‑line IT functions. In addition, this role actively participates in strategic planning and goal setting, and will have a direct hand in leading our team to achieve those goals. The IT Manager acts as the subject matter expert in matters related to several IT functions. This position may be located in Sioux Falls or Pierre, SD.

• Directly oversee the front‑line IT staff, ensuring end user satisfaction and project deadlines are being met.
• Act as subject matter expert on IT related functions and policies, and offer advice and goal updates to executive management.
• Possess a strong knowledge of IT industry trends and best practices, specifically in regards to information security, server administration, and patch management.
• Offer solutions to forward‑looking problems, with a direct hand in turning those concepts into reality to prepare company for future success.
• Collaborate with key business units across the organization in matters related to improving efficiencies and mitigating potential risks.
• Play a key part in rolling out company wide system updates, including large projects related to potential future M&A activity.
• Establish and monitor staff performance and development goals, assign accountabilities, set objectives, establish priorities, conduct annual performance reviews, and administer salary adjustments.
• Travel to remote sites as needed to support operations as necessary to achieve goals (Travel required - approximately 15% of time).
• Other duties as assigned.

• Bachelor’s degree or greater in IT related field required, or equivalent experience.
• Minimum of 5 years in an IT role, with preference given to those working in a help desk or banking atmosphere.
• Extensive knowledge/familiarity with IT best practices, providing a forward‑looking approach to solving problems.
• Previous management of projects, departments, or other supervisory roles required.
