Our Sioux Falls-based team is growing, with opportunities for Technical Support Representative.If you are A/V industry knowledgeable, service-oriented, and ready to leave field work behind for a unique opportunity, please see below for what we are looking for from you:
Here's what you'll get to do:
- Answer incoming calls from customers and help troubleshoot complex systems. This represents a majority of daily tasks. You will interact with A/V Field Service Technicians, to provide technical support with:
- Audio/Visual systems distribution in commercial and residential environments
- Networked AV-over-IP systems
- HDMI and HDBaseT signal distribution
- Video Walls and signage systems
- HDMI testing and troubleshooting equipment
- Control systems, including RTI, Control 4, Crestron, Elan, Q-Sys, Savant and others
- Work toward pulling information together to deliver a solution to customers
- Refer concerns about product or service failure to appropriate personnel for examination
- Occasionally travel to client locations providing technical solutions
- Occasional trade show attendance, such as CEDIA and Info Comm
- Strong organizational skills and an ability to manage multiple tasks
- Customer service oriented
- A positive, collaborative attitude
- Be strongly motivated to acquire new industry knowledge
- Enjoy problem-solving and assisting others to arrive at solutions.
- AVoIP/Dante Networking background or experience with networks, switches, and configurations.
- Significant A/V experience in troubleshooting; elements of system design, using matrix switchers, AV-over-IP systems, and HDMI point-to-point signal distribution devices.
- Understanding of EDID management and Content Protection.
- HDMI test equipment experience
- Knowledge of control systems such as RTI, Control 4, Crestron, QYS, and others, including programming and troubleshooting firmware/software issues
- CTS, ANP, ISF, HAA, IST, CIT, or similar accreditations
