Job Summary

Avera Downtown Building‑Sioux Falls.

Work Shift:

Day Shift (United States of America). Pay Range: $63,960.00 - $96,200.00.

• Provide basic support of multi‑user operating systems, hardware, software installation, configuration, maintenance, training and support.
• Support applications, ensuring effective and optimal use, incorporating enhancements and process improvements.
• Assess current practice, translate end‑user needs into optimal configuration and build of applications.
• Develop understanding of current information systems, associated workflows and integration with other systems.
• Collaborate with system users, technical staff, other IT groups and vendor support resources to solve information system issues.
• Participate in planning, design, development, training, implementation, communication, maintenance and evaluation of existing or new functionality related to information systems.
• Participate in execution of testing before system changes, updates or new functionality is moved to production.
• Research, plan, install, configure, troubleshoot, maintain and upgrade operating systems and application software, including hardware.
• Participate in planning new systems/processes or re‑engineering to support practices and ongoing support for the EHR.
• Maintain membership in appropriate committees, work groups or task forces.
• Work with project managers and teams in implementations of new systems, system upgrades and enhancement of current system functionality.
• Collaborate on user requests for changes, enhancements, additions to ensure feasibility, quality and appropriateness.
• Maintain support materials related to system implementations and maintenance such as routine updates, troubleshooting, issue resolution and product enhancements.
• Facilitate reporting of information from source systems.
• Maintain up‑to‑date training materials or assist the system educator.
• Participate in training classes as appropriate.
• Develop and maintain quality improvement programs for information systems.
• Contribute to the organization financially through cost‑effective practices and budget management activities.
• Provide on‑call support and act as a resource to other team members.

• Must be able to work specified hours and perform job functions.
• Visual acuity adequate to perform position duties.
• Effective communication with others.
• Bachelor’s degree in a related area.
• At least two years related experience and/or training.
• Software‑specific certification, accreditation or proficiency may be required.
