This is a full‑time on‑site role for a Title Examiner. The Title Examiner will review and analyze property title records to establish a chain of title, identify outstanding liens, verify legal property descriptions, and ascertain deed history. Responsibilities also include working closely with lenders and escrow officers to ensure smooth completion of real estate transactions. Accuracy, attention to detail, and adherence to deadlines are essential for success in this role.

• Review attorney title opinions and Form 900s to issue Iowa Title Guaranty commitments and final certificates.
• Ensure compliance with Iowa Title Guaranty program requirements and maintain up‑to‑date knowledge of program changes.
• Communicate effectively with attorneys, clients, underwriters, and internal teams to clarify and resolve title matters.
• Maintain accurate records and documentation for all title files and issued commitments.
• Assist with curative work and coordinate with abstractors and legal professionals as needed.

• Detail‑oriented and ability to analyze legal property records with precision
• Excellent communication and organizational skills
• Proficiency in Microsoft based programs
• A positive attitude and ability to work with others as a team
• The ability to interact professionally and with a customer service based mindset

• Previous experience in the real estate, legal or title industry is a plus
• General knowledge of the title process in Iowa
• Experience with Title Opinions and reviewing or drafting Deeds
• Strong knowledge of Chain of Title and conducting Title Searches
• Familiarity with Escrow procedures in real estate transactions

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Sioux Falls, SD.

The pay range for this position is $26.00 - $32.00/hr.

This is a fully onsite position in Sioux Falls, SD.
