Experienced General Manager

Job Description

A successful family-owned agricultural seed company located in East Central South Dakota is looking to hire an Experienced General Manager.

Candidates being considered will be familiar with all sides of production agriculture, have grain buying, merchandising, and procurement experience and general accounting knowledge in budgeting, P&L etc.

This is a hands-on leadership role where key responsibilities will include:

• Overseeing day-to-day operations
• Ensure and help to optimize safety and quality standards
• Communicate effectively with growers in the region
• Work alongside leadership in supporting long-term company goals
• Support accounting with budgeting and P&l
  
  Qualifications for consideration:
• Hands-on experience working with grain
• Managerial experience in the seed industry experience
• Proven leadership in operations, plant and/or general management
• Must have a good grasp on equipment and new technology
• Communicate effectively with team members and company owner's
• Must currently reside in the U.S, and have a valid U.S. driver's license

A competitive base salary ranging from $130K to $150K will be offered DOE. A comprehensive benefits package that includes 401K, medical, dental, life and accidental death insurance, and more. Relocation assistance will be offered for the right candidate.
