ROLEOVERVIEW:
The Regional Land Use Manager is responsible for managing owned and leased properties across the region and supporting operations through land use permitting, lease management, and regulatory coordination.
DUTIES AND/OR RESPONSIBILITIES (summary of components that make up the job)- Manage and oversee regionally owned and leased properties to support operational and strategic business needs.
- Maintain accurate and up‑to‑date property records within the Managing Aggregate Resources System (MARS).
- Support operations with the creation, administration, and ongoing management of property leases.
- Participate in due diligence activities for new owned and leased properties, including site evaluations and documentation review.
- Prepare, submit, and manage land use permit applications to local, state, and municipal authorities.
- Represent the company at public hearings, meetings, and regulatory proceedings related to land use matters.
- Develop and maintain effective working relationships with local, state, and other governmental agencies.
- Monitor and ensure compliance with applicable land use, environmental, and regulatory requirements.
- Perform other related duties as assigned to support business objectives.
- Ensure DOT, MSHA, OSHA, EPA, DNR, safety, and environmental regulation compliance.
- Always work safely and take action to prevent any and all unsafe actions, processes, and behaviors.
- Perform other duties as assigned.

- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong organizational skills.
- Knowledge of MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
- Able to work independently and under time constraints.
(minimum educational, experience, or other relevant job requirements)
- Bachelor’s degree in Land Use Planning, Physical, Biological, or Political Science or related field.
- Minimum of five (5) years of relevant land use or permitting experience.
- Ability to hold and maintain proper licensure and acceptable driving record.
- Ability to travel intermittently within the region.
(preferred requirements i.e. certifications, software use, etc.)
- Experience working with governmental permitting authorities.
