CNC Machine Tool Field Service Specialist

Overview

A day in the life:
You start the morning from home, coffee in hand, review your schedule on a company-provided laptop, and head to a local customer site in the Dakotas. Some days it’s a preventive maintenance visit on a 3–4 axis VMC; other days it’s a laser cutter install or a troubleshooting call on a 5+ axis lathe. You arrive with the right parts, resolve issues, document the work, and leave the machine running to spec—and the customer thrilled.

This is a regional role, not a cross-country road assignment. Expect travel primarily within a locally defined territory in the Dakotas (about 50% travel, with paid travel time). You’ll have variety, autonomy, and the backing of a team with low turnover and a culture that invests in people.

• Perform field service, installations, and preventive maintenance on CNC equipment.
• Diagnose and resolve mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical issues.
• Support customers and collaborate with sales on technical matters.
• Communicate clearly with diverse stakeholders at the customer site.
• Represent Ellison Technologies professionally and ethically in every interaction.
• Own your cases and projects—maintain accurate service records and technical documentation.
• Contribute to additional related tasks as needed.

• Hands-on experience installing, maintaining, and/or repairing CNC machining centers and CNC turning centers.
• Strong troubleshooting across mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical systems.

• CNC Mill (5+ axis VMC) (Fanuc, Haas, Okuma, Dmg Mori Seiki)
• CNC Lathe (5+ axis) (Mazak, Okuma, Doosan, Dmg Mori Seiki)
