CNC Machinist
Dakota Digital is seeking a dependable, detail-oriented CNC Machinist to join our manufacturing team. This position is responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining CNC machining equipment to produce high-quality precision components used in Dakota Digital products. The ideal candidate takes pride in producing quality work, follows safety procedures, and enjoys working in a team-oriented manufacturing environment.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
- Set up and operate CNC mills and/or lathes according to production specifications.
- Read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, work instructions, and job travelers.
- Verify dimensions using precision measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, gauges, and other inspection equipment.
- Make machine offsets and minor program adjustments as needed to maintain quality standards.
- Perform routine machine maintenance and keep equipment clean and in good working condition.
- Monitor production runs for quality, efficiency, and consistency.
- Identify and report quality concerns or equipment issues promptly.
- Maintain accurate production records and documentation.
- Follow all company safety procedures and maintain a clean, organized work area.
- Work cooperatively with supervisors, engineers, and fellow production employees.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED required.
- CNC machining experience preferred.
- Ability to read blueprints and technical drawings.
- Experience using precision measuring equipment.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing quality parts.
- Mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Basic computer skills are helpful.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
- Frequently lift up to 50 pounds.
- Use hands for repetitive motions and fine motor tasks.
- Ability to bend, twist, reach, and occasionally kneel.
- Good vision, including close vision and depth perception, to inspect parts accurately.
