Material Handler​/Water Spider

Job Summary The Material Handler / Water Spider is responsible for the movement, delivery, and staging of materials to support continuous production and operational flow. This role ensures workstations remain stocked, production is uninterrupted, and materials are handled efficiently from receiving through final use.

Key Responsibilities Deliver materials, parts, and supplies to production lines or workstations based on demand

Proactively monitor inventory levels at stations and replenish before shortages occur

Transport raw materials, components, and finished goods throughout the facility

Load, unload, and move materials using forklifts, pallet jacks, carts, or other equipment

Remove scrap and empty containers from production areas

Stage materials for upcoming production runs Assist with receiving, inspecting, and putting away incoming shipments

Perform cycle counts and report inventory discrepancies

Maintain clean, organized work areas following 5S and safety standards

Support line setups, changeovers, and overall production efficiency

Communicate with production, warehouse, and supervisors to prioritize workflow

Follow all safety policies and proper material handling procedures

Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent preferred

Experience in warehouse, manufacturing, or material support role preferred

Forklift or material handling equipment certification (or ability to obtain)
Familiarity with inventory systems

Understanding of lean manufacturing concepts preferred

Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask

Physical Requirements Ability to lift up to 50 lbs regularly

Frequent walking, standing, bending, and pushing/pulling materials

Ability to work in a fast-paced, physically active environment

Work Environment Warehouse or manufacturing setting

Exposure to moving equipment, noise, and varying temperatures
