Job Description

The Senior Scheduler is responsible for developing, managing, and optimizing manufacturing schedules to ensure customer requirements are met while maximizing production efficiency, capacity utilization, and inventory performance.

Essential Functions
  • Create schedules to produce customer orders.
  • Monitor and schedule production stock items as required.
  • May release orders to production to ensure efficient and timely delivery to customer.
  • Maintain manufacturing lead times to meet customer and company needs.
  • Coordinate schedule with departments involved in the process to meet scheduled ship dates, production efficiencies, and inventory levels.
  • Provide schedule to team members, and work with them on any necessary adjustments.
  • Review current inventory levels to ensure each order placed can be adequately filled.
  • Act as liaison between sales, production, and shipping to resolve delivery issues.
  • Assist with expediting materials and solving issues with material shortages.
  • Continuously evaluate a work center's production capacity to meet schedules and provide visibility.
  • Demonstrates Viaflex Team Member Values in their daily actions.
  • May lead or support department improvement initiatives.
  • May be called upon to perform comparable duties of a similar or related nature and/or assist in other areas as needed.
  • Learning, understanding, continuously improving, and promoting the division's quality management system in accordance with ISO standards.
Education & Experience

Bachelor's degree in business or technical field. Minimum 3 years related experience required; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

Strong knowledge of manufacturing requirements and procedures. High level of service and organization. Ability to be flexible and multitask. Creativity and problem-solving skills. Strong math skills. Proficiency with use of a computer, including Microsoft Office software. Ability to communicate effectively with team members and leadership staff.
