Full-Time 8-hour Evening Shift: 2:00 pm to 10:30 pm

Responsibilities- Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) provides professional nursing care for residents of all ages in long term care, under the supervision of a registered nurse, advanced practice provider, or physician.
- Demonstrates knowledge of nursing principles and uses age and population specific standards related to the resident as per care plan.
- Performs testing to evaluate data reflective of the resident's status and provides the needed care.
- Recognizes problems, recommends solutions, and responds effectively in emergent situations.
- Ensures health, comfort and safety of residents; administers medications or treatments as ordered.
- Documents resident interactions and outcomes related to care, medication, behavior, activity, and dietary.
- Establishes and maintains effective working relationships with residents, health care providers, and the public.
- Communicates clearly and maintains confidentiality of sensitive information.
- Counsels residents, family members and/or resident advocates on prevention and treatment plans with supervision as appropriate.
- Supports resident education principles to develop a self-care program.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
- Graduate from an accredited practical nursing program as a Licensed Practical Nurse. An associate degree in practical nursing is preferred.
- If IV therapy/management is required, specific North Dakota requirements apply as described in the original job content.
- Pre-licensure nursing program including supervised clinical experience across the life span or a minimum of 400 hours of LPN experience; some positions may have additional education or training requirements.
- Currently holds an unencumbered LPN license with the State Nursing Board and/or multi-state licensure privileges. Maintains required department competencies and certifications. Completes annual CEUs and department training.
