Position Highlights: Monday–Friday, 8:00 a.m.–4:30 p.m.; 80 hours/2 weeks. Great opportunity for an LPN or RN to join our clinic. Great team atmosphere. No nights, weekends, or holidays. Job SummaryThe Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) provides professional nursing care under the direction of the provider. The role supports a multidisciplinary team focused on patient care.
Responsibilities- Perform general nursing care to patients.
- Administer prescribed medications and treatments in accordance with nursing standards.
- Coordinate patient care activities for the clinic.
- Prepare equipment and assist provider during procedures, treatments, examinations, and testing of patients.
- Observe, record, and report patient condition and reactions to drugs and treatments to provider.
- Oversee appointment scheduling and ensure patients’ preferences are honored in emergency situations.
- Maintain timely flow of patients and greet patients for physical examinations.
- Screen patients for appropriate information, obtaining health history, taking vitals, and conducting nursing assessment.
- Document obtained information in patient chart.
- Instruct patients in collection of samples and tests.
- Respond to patient phone calls promptly with appropriate input from the physician.
- Educate patients and families about diagnostic processes, medications, nutrition, and maintenance of health and wellness.
- Suggest solutions to patient‑care crisis problems and complaints.
- Maintain exam rooms with necessary supplies and materials; ensure cleanliness.
- Prepare list of medical supplies needed; assure appropriate labeling of pathology specimens according to lab protocol.
- Perform quality control and maintain records on all lab testing.
- Registered Nurse (RN) or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) with an active board of nursing license in the state of practice upon hire.
- Ability to work the specified hours and perform each essential job function satisfactorily.
- Visual acuity adequate for duties, excellent communication skills (hear, understand, distinguish speech and other sounds).
- Completion of required education and licensing; possible requirements for Advanced Practice Credentials for RN.
