American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Progressive Care Unit position requiring cardiac step-down skills and a South Dakota or compact RN license.

• Work in the Medical Surgical Unit (PCU) of a hospital setting
• Cardiac step-down patient population
• Shift rotates between day and night in 12-hour blocks  or ), typically alternating every 6 weeks
• Straight night shifts may be considered for interested candidates
• No straight day shift positions available
• 36 hours per week (3x12-hour shifts)
• On-call is voluntary, not required
• Every other weekend and holiday rotation required, with straight weekend schedules welcomed for interested candidates
• 13-week assignment length

• Active RN license (South Dakota or Compact) required
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
• Cardiac step-down experience required
• Experience managing vasoactive drips (nitro, levo, neo, anti-arrhythmic, cleviprex) required
• Experience with BiPAP, chest tubes, and telemetry required

• Provide direct patient care within a cardiac step-down/PCU environment
• Blocked scheduling and specific scheduling requests are not permitted
• Candidates with prior permanent employment at Avera or Sanford Health systems are not eligible for consideration
