Position Overview

We’re seeking a positive, friendly, team-oriented and customer service driven Cook to assemble, prepare, and portion food for people supported and staff. With our Cook position we offer flexible hours, training, and growth opportunities.
Responsibilities- Prepares and provides the highest quality and safest food possible for daily meals for individuals supported, employees, and guests/visitors
- Follows standardized recipes and guidelines to prepare, store and use food
- Measures, weights, counts and divides out hot foods by delivery site
- Cooks hot items for contract meals
- Participate in meal preparation for special events and group functions
- Maintains labeling and storage of food, equipment, and machinery
- Performs washing and cleaning duties to insure sanitation
- Operates equipment such as mixers, slicers, kettles, ovens, steamer, food grinders, and more
- Provides excellent customer service

Education And ExperienceHigh school diploma/GED required. Educational food production courses are preferred. Two years of experience in school/healthcare setting is preferred, or a combination of education and experience providing equivalent knowledge. Serve Safe certification is preferred. Prior experience working with children with disabilities or challenging behaviors preferred.
