Department Details

• The Bartender is responsible for interacting with customers, setting up and maintaining a clean and sanitized serving area, stocking bar, mixing and serving alcoholic beverages, cleaning and sanitizing equipment, and handling payments for food and beverages using a computerized register.
• Ensure compliance with applicable state alcohol laws and standard operating procedures provided by management.
• Provide outstanding customer service and communicate effectively with patrons and co-workers.
• Establish effective working relationships and incorporate safe work practices in job performance.
• Maintain quality control standards and operate equipment such as beverage machines, toasters, ice cream dispensers, cash registers, steam equipment, dishwashers, refrigerators and freezers as needed.
• Maintain inventory control through conscientious use and monitoring of all food and beverage products, communicating with management when supplies are needed.
• Perform opening and closing duties including inventory, cash control, cleaning, and restocking.
• Be accountable for credit card and cash transactions.
• Serve catered parties from service or portable bars.
• Follow established systems for taking, placing, and delivering orders, and adhere to standards for greeting, cocktail service, food delivery, and general service techniques.
• Answer questions about menu items and offer suitable suggestions when appropriate.
• Practice tray service for all food and beverage service.
• Work independently when necessary and understand food safety and sanitation processes.
• Be on their feet for the majority of the day and able to walk long distances.
• Perform other duties as required and be willing to work nights, weekends, and holidays.

• High school diploma or general education degree (GED) preferred.
• One year of bartending experience and/or training preferred.
• Minimum of 21 years of age.
• Alcohol Awareness Training may be required to obtain within a designated time frame, depending on location of hire.
