Retail Sales Associate

House of Sport by DICK'S Sporting Goods is seeking Retail Sales Associates to deliver an exceptional, experience-driven shopping environment. In this role, you'll greet and assist customers, recommend sporting goods and apparel, and operate the POS system accurately. You'll support in-store experiences such as rock wall activities, field events, and product demos while maintaining clean, organized, and well-merchandised sales floors. You'll help manage inventory, restock product, and uphold safety and loss-prevention standards, contributing to an inclusive, team-focused, and community-centered store culture.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers and provide knowledgeable, friendly assistance throughout the store
• Recommend products based on customers' sports, fitness, and outdoor needs
• Operate the point-of-sale (POS) system accurately and handle cash and card transactions
• Support experiential areas such as fields, rock walls, and clinics by setting up, monitoring, and engaging participants
• Maintain clean, organized, and visually appealing sales floors and product displays
• Restock shelves, manage inventory levels, and assist with receiving product
• Uphold safety, loss prevention, and store policies to protect customers, teammates, and merchandise
• Collaborate with teammates to support events, demos, and community engagement activities
• Respond to customer inquiries, returns, and issues with professionalism and problem-solving
• Promote House of Sport programs, events, and services to drive traffic and loyalty
