Sales Representative

Position Overview

A growing manufacturing company is seeking a motivated Sales Representative to join its team. This position is responsible for developing new business, maintaining existing customer relationships, managing a sales territory, and helping customers identify the right products and solutions for their needs.

The ideal candidate will have experience in B2B sales, preferably within a manufacturing or industrial environment. This individual should be comfortable prospecting for new business, preparing quotes, presenting solutions, negotiating with customers, and working closely with Engineering and Operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Identify and establish relationships with prospective customers.
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with existing customers.
• Manage and grow an assigned sales territory.
• Research current and potential customers to identify sales opportunities.
• Attend industry trade shows and events to generate leads and strengthen customer relationships.
• Monitor industry trends, competitors, pricing, products, delivery schedules, and market conditions.
• Identify opportunities for new products, services, and markets.
• Prepare and present company and product information to customers and groups.
• Adjust sales presentations based on customer and market needs.
• Recommend products and features based on customer requirements.
• Prepare accurate quotes based on customer specifications.
• Work with customers to define product requirements and resolve discrepancies.
• Review customer agreements and negotiate terms when necessary.
• Work closely with Engineering and Operations to address customer questions and product requirements.
• Read and interpret technical drawings and product specifications.
• Collaborate with Engineering on new product development and customer-specific solutions.
• Maintain accurate customer and sales activity information in the CRM.
• Resolve customer concerns by identifying issues and coordinating appropriate solutions.
• Maintain current knowledge of products, industry trends, competitors, and market conditions.
• Provide regular updates on sales activity, opportunities, and results.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• 2–5 years of relevant B2B sales experience preferred.
• Experience selling industrial, manufactured, engineered, or technical products is highly preferred.
• Strong prospecting and business-development skills.
• Experience managing a sales territory and customer accounts.
• Strong negotiation, presentation, and closing skills.
• Excellent communication and customer-service abilities.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to understand customer specifications and product requirements.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings is preferred.
• Comfortable working with Engineering, Operations, and other internal teams.
• Strong computer and CRM skills.
• Ability to work independently while contributing to a team environment.
• Associate degree in a related field required; bachelor's degree preferred.
• Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand English.
