Salary Range: $20.00 - $29.00
The role enforces policies and procedures with all patients, residents, visitors and staff, patrols and secures facility buildings and grounds, monitors visitor conduct, reports safety incidents, and responds to all requests for assistance from employees, patients and visitors. The security officer also assists with problem‑solving scenarios, escorts personnel to parking areas, maintains records, and prioritizes service calls based on safety needs.
Responsibilities- Enforce policies and procedures with all patients/residents, visitors, and staff.
- Patrol and secure facility buildings and grounds as assigned.
- Monitor conduct of visitors on premises and confront unauthorized persons for questioning.
- Report safety, fire hazards, or security violations.
- Respond to all requests for assistance from employees, patients/residents, and visitors.
- Assist with any and all situations, problem‑solving with positive outcomes.
- Escort personnel to and from parking areas as requested.
- Maintain records and prepare incident reports and other documents pertinent to security activities.
- Prioritize calls for service in order of urgency based on safety needs.
- De‑escalate situations in highly stressful environments.
- Maintain awareness of local laws affecting conduct on private property.
- Communicate effectively with all customers and write professional reports.
- Demonstrate the physical ability to perform basic security officer functions as trained.
- Be able to work with all age groups and access areas where medications are stored if required.
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred; college or vocational education preferred.
- Prior experience in healthcare security, contract security, or law enforcement preferred.
- Valid driver's license may be required;
