E-logic is seeking a detail-oriented Employee Entrance Guard to oversee routine staff access control, asset loss prevention, and random property inspections at a high-volume personnel entrance for a Level III U.S. Geological Survey (USGS) Earth Resources Observation and Science (EROS) Center facility. This critical role requires leveraging specialized knowledge of federal property pass verification and credential validation protocols to optimize internal security compliance, protect government assets from unauthorized removal, and maintain strict facility entry integrity.
Duties & Responsibilities- Validate and verify permanent employee identification badges upon entry.
- Conduct random spot checks of employees' personal property (such as briefcases, computer bags, and packages).
- Verify and validate property passes (Form DI-1934) authorizing personnel to bring in or remove equipment.
- Prevent unauthorized entry and maintain the integrity of the facility's asset protection guidelines.
- Guard II status with active 9MM firearms qualification.
- Strong attention to detail to catch credential irregularities or unauthorized asset movement.
- Ability to interact firmly but professionally with facility staff members daily.
- Requires background check clearance for an NSI Secret Clearance.
This role is part of a proposal for U.S. Geological Survey (USGS) Earth Resources Observation and Science (EROS) Center Level III. Hiring is contingent upon the selection of the consultant.
